If you are exchanging links, be sure that you are doing so with sites that are offering a similar product or information as your website. After all, someone who is searching for baby clothing is not likely to click a link that goes to car maintenance. Be sure that you check out the sites you are exchanging links with and make yourself familiar with their content and/or products to ensure that they are relevant to your site.

Once you have chosen the sites for your link exchange contact those site owners and request the exchange.
